    Founding a Successful Independent Agency

In 2008, a pivotal decision was made to leave State Farm and establish an independent agency in Wilmington, North Carolina. Despite the challenges of starting from scratch, determination and vision led to the rapid success of Don Bullard Insurance. Under strong leadership, the agency grew to serve over 20,000 households, offering a wide range of personal insurance products. Honoring a Legacy of Military Service

Before embarking on a successful insurance career, service to the country was rendered as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After graduating from New Hanover High School in Wilmington in 1967, Don enlisted in the Army and quickly rose through the ranks. Military service included three tours in Vietnam, where several prestigious honors were earned, including two Distinguished Flying Crosses, a Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart.
